Teresa ‘Tee’ H.
She/Her
Vice President | Special Projects, B2B Sales
A little bit about me:
Hi, my name is Teresa — most people know me as Tee. I’m the Vice President of Special Projects for the B2B Org, where I tackle challenges that defy categories and then collaborate to find solutions that put our people first. I proudly serve as Executive Sponsor for the Women Forward Employee Resource Group and advocate for our greatest asset — our employees. And this is me, InFocus.
Career Reflections: Talk about your career journey.
When I began my career in media, “viral” meant catching a cold, and a “post” was something you simply leaned against. And four decades later, the pace hasn’t slowed – it’s evolved.
From “Lady Tee” on the college radio station, to copy editor, and then, Sales Leader. I’ve climbed every rung of this unpredictable ladder. So to young Teresa, I’d give this advice: and it’s from lessons I’ve learned and honed as I’ve scaled the career ladder. “Bloom where you’re planted. Trust your instincts, and listen to your gut. Stay true to your vision and don’t let the fear of making mistakes hold you back. The deals that didn’t close and pitches that didn’t land weren’t failures—they were lessons that shaped who you are today. And then do what you saw your mama and your daddy taught you to do – Don’t go it alone – scooch over and make room at the table for others, and ALWAYS plant good seeds in good soil. Remembering we reap what we sow.
Innovation & Impact: What’s a project or initiative you’re especially proud of?
I’m honored to facilitate a new feedback initiative called “Spilling the Tea with JT”. As a trusted advisor, I help connect our Chief Revenue Officer directly with his team. These open forums give employees opportunities to share honest feedback and ask questions – with confidence they will receive genuine responses. They’re designed to build transparency and trust, creating a place where people feel valued and see the B2B org as a place to grow and thrive. That’s the kind of impact I’m proud to help shape.
In the Balance: Has there been a time when you really needed support—and received it?
My ultimate career dream came true when I was hired as Publisher in Southeast Arkansas. That experience shaped me into a true survivor, teaching me resilience and it helped me expand my sense of what’s possible, even in the toughest of times.
And speaking of tough times — On June 8- 2023, I heard three words: “You have cancer.” That moment was hard, but it forced me to have a shift-I knew it was time for me to prioritize myself. And during chemo, I realized it‘s possible to work hard, play hard and still take care of self. Sitting on the front porch of my family homestead, I felt the strength of my tribe lifting me, praying for me through the toughest battle of my life. And they’re still supporting me through this healing process. And I‘m grateful to have a leader who not only tells us – but shows us what resilience and presence looks like: never missing a birthday, family trips, time with friends — creating new memories. Seeing that and feeling like I belong resonates deeply within my soul. It reminds me daily: That this is exactly where I’m meant to be.
Beyond the Desk: What are you passionate about outside of work?
Outside the media world, my life is rooted by a deep and abiding faith in God — it’s something I’m never ashamed of because it serves as a source of peace and purpose that extends far beyond professional accomplishments. And that faith is most vividly experienced in the joy I share with my family. Serving together in our small church, we find meaning in giving back to our community, knowing that even humble places can make a big impact.
